Goodreads Choice Awards 2015

Hello book bugs! I am Osheen Jain and today I am going to talk about Goodreads choice awards, as you already know from the title.

For those of you who don’t know what it is, here is some information on it.-

First, what is Goodreads?

Goodreads is a booknerd’s dream come true. In this website we can catalog our books. For cataloging there are mainly 3 categories  – want to read, currently reading and read, but you can add more if you like. Not only this but you can find New books, give them star ratings, write reviews, follow authors, make New booknerd friends and much more. Now what is this choice awards?

Goodreads choice awards are conducted anually by Goodreads (obviously). In this this the users of this website can vote for their favourite books. There are 10 books from 20 catagories that are nominated. This started in 2009. The conditions for the books to be nominated are that they should belong to the particular category and should have been released the same year.

Results  –
The results were anounced yesterday i.e. 1st december, 2015. This year 3,007,743 votes were cast in total. The winners are the best of the best (in nominations) even if you like it or not. But well the books we love are our favourites no matter what right? So without any further ado let’s see the winners of 2015 Goodreads Readers Choice Awards!
